COPYRIGHT AND PUBLICATION AGREEMENT

(Creative Commons License)

When submitting an article to Maritime Intelligence, Security and Cyber Threats Journal (hereinafter referred to as the “Journal”), the authors agree to the following terms:

COPYRIGHT AND LICENSE

1. Copyright Ownership
   The copyright of the article remains with the author(s).

2. License to the Journal
   The authors grant Maritime Intelligence, Security and Cyber Threats Journal a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, and promote the article in all media and formats, for the full term of copyright.

3. Creative Commons License
   The article is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

   Under this license:

   • The article may be shared, copied, redistributed, adapted, transformed, and built upon, for any purpose, including commercial use;

   • Proper attribution must be given to the author(s) and to the Journal as the original place of publication;

   • A link to the Creative Commons license must be provided;

   • Any changes made must be clearly indicated.

4. Author Rights
   The authors retain the right to:

   • Use the whole or part of the article in theses, dissertations, future research, books, reports, and professional works;

   • Distribute the article for educational, academic, institutional, and commercial purposes;

   • Deposit the published version of the article in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networks, with proper citation of the Journal.

5. Journal Rights
   The Journal retains the right to:

   • Identify itself as the original publisher of the article;

   • Index, archive, and disseminate the article through databases, repositories, and third-party platforms;

   • Use the article content for academic, educational, and promotional purposes.

AUTHORSHIP

6. Author Attribution
   The Journal shall ensure that the article is published under the name(s) of the author(s) as provided at submission.

WARRANTIES

7. Author Warranties
   The authors warrant that:

   • The article is an original work;

   • It does not infringe any copyright, moral rights, or other intellectual property rights;

   • All necessary permissions for third-party materials have been obtained;

   • The content is lawful and does not contain defamatory or unethical material.

   The authors agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Journal against any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from a breach of these warranties.

EFFECTIVE DATE

8. Effective Date
   This Agreement becomes effective on the date the article is accepted for publication.

OTHER LEGAL MATTERS

9. Notices
   Any notice or communication under this Agreement shall be made electronically or in writing using the contact information provided by the parties.

10. Governing Law
    This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with international copyright law principles, without prejudice to mandatory local regulations.

This article is published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author(s) and source are credited.
